AES Northeast seeks a Building Designer/Project Manager to join their growing team.

What Your Role is as a Building Designer/Project Manager:
A Building Designer/Project Manager can solve complex problems and work under the parameters and limitations of a budget while translating the vision and ideas of a client into a physical product. Building designers should be adept at communicating effectively with various groups of people.

The Building Designer/Project Manager will create detailed construction plans for buildings and structures under an architect’s supervision. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Use Revit and other software to create full-scale and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from an architect’s rough drawings.
Study and interpret building codes and regulations and determine how they will affect architectural designs.
Adjust design and coordinate building plans with structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
Draw plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
Visit job sites to gather data needed to complete designs.
Determine the types of materials needed and calculate the quantity to be ordered.
Working with a project team to generate costs estimates, contracts, and other documents required for individual projects.
Meeting with clients to take and understand the project brief in detail.
Designing and interpreting plans.
Undertaking feasibility studies.
Researching and analyzing council codes, codes of practice and industry regulations.
Coordinating submissions to council.
Drawing up contracts and ensuring terms are adhered to.
Project Management. Building site observation.
Communicating with clients to discuss project progress, impediments, and milestones.
Project managing suppliers, contractors, and resources.

Pay Range: $70,550-$85,000
