Stevens & Associates is seeking an Architect III/Architectural Designer III to join our team.

Essential Functions
• Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project.
• Liaises with project management, other architects, and consultants.
• Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects.
• Coordinates with more senior staff on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
• Responsible for adherence to BIM / Documentation standards and best-practices. Works within project BIM models, concept design drawings, and construction documents through all phases of the design and construction process. Directs and delegates BIM tasks to staff. Resolves advanced BIM issues.
• Manages multiple projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and develops scope of work.
• Has responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects.
• Acts in assistant capacity to more senior staff on midsize to large projects.
• Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
• Serves as the primary client liaison to completion and to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Licensed candidates shall be responsible for major design decisions and shall stamp record documents. Licensed candidates shall lead all client correspondence. Non-licensed candidates shall support design decisions & client coordination.

Education and Professional Experience
• Professional or non-professional degree in Architecture.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Licensure required for Architect III, a plus for Architectural Designer III.

Technical Skills
• Proficient in Revit and MS Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Familiarity with AutoCad, SketchUp, and Bluebeam a plus.
• Possesses knowledge in architectural design, production of construction documentation, and the construction administration process.
• Possesses knowledge in construction practices and detailing.
• Possesses basic knowledge of MEP and Structural systems and demonstrated experience coordinating building systems to integrate effectively with the design.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, responsive and timely communicator with team members and clients.

• Professional demeanor and conduct, exercises good judgment and represents the firm with integrity.

Other Job Requirements
• A valid driver’s license.
• The ability to lift and carry 25-40lbs on occasion.

Limits of Authority
• The Architect III/Architectural Designer III has authority to guide and develop major decisions concerning cost design, schedule, and completion of projects with approval from senior staff.

Expected Salary
$74,000-$88,000 annually, plus benefits.
