Arthur (Cam) Featherstonhaugh AIA, Elected to Board Chair-elect of CSI

Congratulations to Cam Featherstonhaugh of TruexCullins on being elected to the position of Board Chair-elect of the Construction Specifications Institute. Beginning in July, Cam began his two-year term on the National Board of Directors as Board Chair-elect and Chair of the Institute Governance Committee. After two years, Cam will ascend to the position of Board Chair for a term of two years. Board Chair is the highest volunteer position in the Institute at the National level, and is the Institute’s Chief Governance Officer (the position was changed from President to Board Chair in 2015).

The AIAVT Board of Directors approved Brian Leet of Freeman French Freeman as the chapter's new volunteer Disaster Assistance Coordinator. Brian will be taking over this role from Steve Clark, AIA. Freeman French Freeman BLM Statement, Sustainable Action Plan, and Leadership Champlain

Freeman French Freeman issued a statement of principles in support of the Black Lives Matter movement on June 24, 2020. Our full statement, available on our website, outlines several concrete steps the firm is taking to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the firm and the broader community.

In early July FFF released its Sustainable Action Plan, which serves as a company roadmap to meeting the goals of the AIA 2030 Commitment and the Burlington 2030 District. We seek to eliminate carbon in buildings, go beyond net zero energy, and maximize building value for our clients by 2030.

As part of a decades-long tradition, Freeman French Freeman sponsored two employees to participate in Leadership Champlain, a professional development and community engagement program of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jane Pickell, IIDA, served in the Class of 2020 and Catherine Lange, AIA, joins the Class of 2021.
