Call for Volunteers, Join AIAVT's New AI Committee
Artificial intelligence is impacting how we design, manage projects, and run our practices. To help Vermont architects navigate this evolving landscape, AIAVT is launching a new Committee on Artificial Intelligence, and we want you to be a part of it.
Whether you are already using AI tools in your daily workflow, curious about future implications, or concerned about the ethical and legal boundaries of tech in architecture, your voice is needed.
What the Committee Will Do
- Provide Education: Develop AI-focused continuing education, workshops, and panel discussions for local professionals.
- Explore Best Practices: Review current AI design tools, software applications, and workflows relevant to small and large firms alike.
- Address Ethical Guidelines: Discuss the impacts of AI on copyright, contracts, and the future value of architectural services, as well as AI's ecological impacts.
- Foster Community: Create a space for Vermont practitioners to share knowledge, successes, and cautionaries about emerging tech.
Time Commitment & Expectation
- Meetings: One virtual meeting per month (approximately 1 hour).
- Involvement: Most AIAVT committees assist with organizing at least one chapter event or educational resource each year.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for a diverse mix of voices. You do not need to be a tech expert to join. We welcome any AIAVT Architect, Associate, and Allied members in good standing with an interest in this topic. Please email info@ aiavt.org to join.
