Update from BGS on VT Buys
VTBuys is a comprehensive e-procurement system that is replacing Vermont's existing manual system. It will become the primary platform for doing business with the State of Vermont. Moving forward, our top priority is to ensure a smooth transition for the Vermont Supplier Community. To achieve this, we are committed to the following:
- Simplified, self-service access.
- One centralized place to view bid opportunities, submit bids, upload documents, view contract awards, and track and report on spend and performance evaluation.
- Automatic notifications for bid opportunities.
- Easier order, receipt, and payment, and shortened invoicing time.
- Lower administrative costs to manage orders receipt and invoices.
- Lower barriers to compete.
Vermont Supplier Community,
As you know, VTBuys – the State’s new streamlined and centralized procurement system – will launch on July 1!
It has come to our attention that our last update, sent to you on June 13, incorrectly stated we would be able to issue all payments by July 7. Our expectation is for all payments to begin being processed on July 7, but as is standard, the actual issue date will be dependent on a number of factors. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and setting the wrong expectation.
As previously noted, a delay in payments during our Year End close occurs every year. But we know this transition could create additional unforeseen delays. We greatly appreciate your patience.
Your feedback is valuable to us. We invite you to share your thoughts, concerns, and success stories at SOV.VTBuys@ vermont.gov . We are here to support you every step of the way and address any questions or issues you may have.
Thanks,
The VTBuys Team
