Prickly Mountain Film & VT Design Build Movement featured on Vermont Edition
The host of Vermont Public's Vermont Edition, Mikaela Lefrak recently sat down with Allie Rood to discuss her film "Prickly Mountain, and my Design Build Life", which premiered last fall. The film, which recieved an AIAVT Carol Miklos Community Outreach Grant in 2025, tells the story of the local architects and makers who were a part of the Waitsfield/ Warren based design build movement, which shaped much of the buildings as well as the ethos around architecture in the Mad River Valley, starting from the 1060's.
Britton Rogers of Yestermorrow and Danny Sagan of Norwich University's School of Art & Architecture joined the conversation to share insights into how this movement continues to inform how architecture is approached by many in Vermont and beyond today.
