Freeman French Freeman Welcomes Nathalia Ellis as Architectural Associate

Nathalia joins FFF with eight years’ experience in the Vermont architecture community. She earned her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Nathalia joins the design team for City Place, a large-scale, mixed-use development in downtown Burlington.

Maclay Architects Welcomes Eric Sturm, AIA

Eric Sturm, AIA, LEED AP, has joined Maclay Architects in Waitsfield, VT. Sturm, a Senior Project Manager in the firm, brings more than two decades of experience to Maclay’s commercial, institutional, and residential design teams. 

Sturm launched his award-winning architecture career in Washington, DC, where he held positions of increasing responsibility at BBGM, OPX, and SmithGroup, one of the nation’s preeminent integrated design firms. Much of Sturm’s early career focused on commercial projects in government, workplace, large-scale mixed-use residential projects, and hospitality for Marriott, Hilton, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Prior to joining Maclay, as an architect at Bread Loaf Corporation, Sturm designed, produced, and managed Long Trail School’s Fieldhouse in Dorset. For Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, he developed the master plan, designed and oversaw the production of a new library, cafe, and other spaces. At Camp Dudley at Kiniya, Sturm managed the design and construction of a new dining hall and studio building.

Steve Cary & Frank O’Donnell of the Loewen Window Center of VT & NH, White River Junction are pleased to announce that their business has been purchased by Marc Guillemette of Lyndonville, VT. Mr. Guillemete, comes from a background with extensive construction & window industry experience, most recently as an architectural representative for Hastings Inc, a Marvin window & door distributor. Steve & Frank, opened the Loewen Window Center in 2006 and grew the business to become one of the largest Loewen windows dealers in the country. Loewen supplies premium high performing wood windows & doors for custom built residential & unique light commercial projects. In addition they are a major distributor for Kohltech and Jeld-Wen windows & doors as well as a variety of millwork, custom interior & exterior doors and architectural hardware.
