Each year, AIA Vermont requests a sister chapter to provide us with a jury who will review the AIAVT Design Award submissions, and select those deserving of awards. 

This year, the awards committee selected AIA Savannah to fulfill that role. The jury included a diverse and impressive group of architects and associates, with a wide range of experience in designing a variety of project types. 

We are deeply grateful to the following individuals for donating their time and energy to the thoughtful selection of this year's winners:

Greg Skinner, AIA | SSOE (2025 Past-President of AIA Savannah and 2022 AIA Georgia President)

• Graduated w/ Master of Architecture - Savannah College of Art & Design
• Senior Associate at SSOE Group
• Practiced for nearly 20 years focusing on K-12, Higher Ed, & Public Bldgs
• Served as AIA Georgia President & is the Immediate Past President of AIA Savannah

Hannah Brown, AIA | Buckley & Associates

• President Elect of AIA Savannah
• Master of Architecture earned at SCAD
• Bachelor of Science in Architecture earned at Georgia Tech
• Senior Project Manager at Hussey Gay Bell with a strong focus on K-12 design.

Lavontae Decius, Associate AIA | Pantheon ADC

• Graduated from Norwich University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture Degree.
• While there Lavontae received the AIAVT Honor Award in 2021 for his dedication to innovative design & academic excellence.
• Currently serves as the President of the Savannah Young Architects Forum.

Sophia Rodriquez, Associate AIA | Architecture 101

• Recent Graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design, where she completed the Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure Program.
• While there she also served as the SCAD AIAS President.
• Sophia is now a Project Manager at Architecture 101 working on Residential, Multifamily, and mixed-use development.

Steven G. Stowers, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, Architecture 101, Alternate (and jury coordinator):

• Holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Verginia Tech
• Award winning architect, practicing for more than 20 years
• Served as AIA Georgia President & AIA Savannah President twice
• Principal and founder of the firm Architecture 101
• Co-Founder of 518 Development Partners
