AIAVT Annual Meeting & Design Awards Event Held at Champlain College

2025 Board President, Tom Bursey, AIA
AIAVT's 2025 Vice President, Andres Gutierrez, Int'l. AIA Assoc.

AIA Vermont members gathered this December at Champlain College in Burlington, VT for a year-end celebration of the chapter's work, a presentation of award-winning projects, and for some formal business of the organization.

The event kicked off with a cocktail hour set against the backdrop of the design awards entries exhibit. Presentations included a recap of 2025, and a look ahead to 2026 by outgoing AIAVT President, Tom Bursey and incoming AIAVT President, Andres Gutierrez.

The design awards were presented by Awards Committee member Ben Buglovsky and Brian Leet.  The winners were selected by AIA Savannah jury members.  Seven projects received awards from the jury, and two additional Peers' Choice Award winners were announced at the event, TeglHus by Birdseye, and Two Step by Sidehill Design.  Images and details on each project can be found here.
