AIAVT Annual Golf Tournament Winners

Second Place went to the Freeman French Freeman team, including Jesse Beck, Dave Dodge, Mark Bradley and Rich Jefferson.
A highly competitive putting contest ended the day.

This year's Annual Guy Teschmacher Golf Tournament took place the Williston Country Club, where 17 teams faced off on a challenging course. New rules for the AIAVT tournament added some additional competition this year. Teams were limited to 4 Mulligans (one per team member), and one ten foot length of string had to be shared by each team to improve their shots, but a length could only be used once.

As AIAVT's sole fundraising event for the Hanne M. Williams Scholar Recognition Fund, the Guy Teschmacher Golf Tournament is an important event on AIAVT's annual calendar. This year, the tournament raised over $9000, which will go to support students studying architecture in Vermont. The tournament is named in memory of Guy Teschmacher, AIA, who was an active AIAVT member and past president, a lifelong golfer, and an architect at Black River Design. Guy was committed to mentoring younger architects, and a strong supporter of young people entering the field of architecture.

First place in this year's tournament went to a twosome, Jim Paluch and Joe Greene.

Second place went to the Freeman French Freeman team which included, Jesse Beck, Dave Dodge, Mark Bradley and Rich Jefferson.

Third place went to DEW Construction, with Pete Kelley, Erik Rhenman, Mike Garvey, and Joe Martaniuk.

Additional prizes went to Kevin Birchmore, JP Ranalli, and Joe Greene for Closest to the Pin, and Anthony Fahoury took home a prize for Longest Drive.

A heated putting contest, with six contenders ended convivially when, after a few tries each, everyone competing decided to call it and donate the 50/50 cash prize back to AIAVT. Thank you to all who took part, including JP Ranalli, Chi Nguyen, Rolf Kielman, Steve Meyers, Nigel Mucklaw, and Andy Sutphen.
