The immersive 10-day proposed architectural tour will explore the dynamic evolution of contemporary architecture in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia’s two most vibrant cities for design innovation and urban renewal.
Colombia offers architects and designers a rare opportunity to study how thoughtful design can drive real civic transformation. In Bogotá, explore the work of renowned architect Rogelio Salmona and the historic La Candelaria district, experience Ciclovía — the weekly program that closes major streets to traffic and has inspired similar 'open streets' initiatives in over 400 cities worldwide — and tour K-12 school buildings designed for excellence by acclaimed architect Daniel Bonilla. In Medellín, trace the city's globally recognized model of social urbanism — public libraries, cable cars, and community spaces that turned once-marginalized neighborhoods into symbols of resilience and renewal. This is a professional expedition for architects ready to see, firsthand, how design can build bridges between communities.

Dates: Friday March 5 - Sunday March 14, 2027 (10 days)
Destinations: Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia.
Travel: Flights depart from Montreal, Canada or Boston, MA
Accommodation: Nine nights in deluxe hotels.
Included: Air travel and ground transportation, accommodations, nine breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, private professional driver transfers, and architectural site visits.
PRICE PER PERSON: $4209pp Double or $4999pp Single. A refundable deposit of $250.00 per person to hold their place on the tour is due by Sept 10, 2026. This will help us decide if we have enough passengers to continue offering this amazing trip.
