AIAVT Design Awards Call for Entries

The Call for Entries for this year's Design Excellence Awards Program is attached. This year, the jury, composed of members from AIA Colorado, will be asked to honor projects in three categories, defined by scale (as they see fit): “Small Project,” “Medium Project,” and “Large Project.” 

I look forward to seeing your submissions! An overview of key details is below; see the attached for full instructions, etc. 

SCHEDULE:

  • Entry Fee: Entry form and fee postmarked by September 16, 2016
  • Award Submissions: Project submissions postmarked October 14, 2016
  • Jury Convenes: Jury meets between October 28 and Nov. 3, 2016
  • People’s Choice Award: Voting online October 31, 2016 – November 10, 2016
  • Awards Presentation: Awards presented at the AIAVT Annual Meeting on December 15, 2016 at Arts Riot in Burlington. 

BENEFITS:

  • All entries to be displayed at the annual meeting, People’s Choice exhibit, and in a state-wide traveling show designed to increase the public’s appreciation for architecture
  • Announcement of award recipients to the media following Annual Meeting.
  • Online voting for the People’s Choice Award. This opportunity will be promoted to the greater public.
