This course explores the use of timber framing and structural insulated panels (SIPs) in modern architectural design, with a focus on their impact on occupant health, life safety, and environmental welfare.

Attendees will gain insight into structural performance, fire safety, moisture control, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency.

Timber frame and SIP design case studies will be used to highlight best practices that ensure code compliance, long-term structure resilience and durability, and sustainable design, while also maximizing architectural design options to create beautiful homes and structures.
