Award Submissions: Project submissions postmarked October 13, 2015
Jury (Montreal) Convenes: Week of October 25, 2015.
People’s Choice Award: Voting online October 27, 2015 – November 10, 2015
Awards Presentation: December 10, 2015 at the Middlebury Inn, Middlebury.
BENEFITS:
All entries to be displayed at the annual meeting, People’s Choice Exhibit, and in a traveling show designed to increase awareness of good design among the general population; stops include Shelburne, Brattleboro, White River Junction, and other locations.
Announcement of award recipients to the media following Annual Meeting. Recipients are asked not to publicize their awards in any way (website, Facebook, etc.) until after the Annual Meeting.
Online voting for the People’s Choice Award. This opportunity will be promoted to the greater public.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
The sole judging criterion is design excellence. The jury is empowered to determine the extent to which design excellence is informed by aesthetic, functional, contextual, sustainable, social or other characteristics. The jury will be asked to honor projects in three categories, defined by scale (as they see fit): “Small Project,” “Medium Project,” and “Large Project.”
