This training will provide a comprehensive overview of rigid foam continuous insulation in five topic areas; continuous insulation, thermal bridging, types of rigid foam insulation, energy and building code compliance and fire performance criteria for Types I-IV construction.

Learning objectives:
1) Define continuous insulation and where Energy Codes now prescribe continuous insulation.
2) Understand thermal bridging and the importance of eliminating thermal bridges.
3) Understand building and energy code compliance, including prescriptive, R-value and performance paths.
4) Discuss the fire performance criteria for rigid foam insulation in Types I-IV construction and how it affects continuous insulation.
