ABX 2013 call for proposals now open
ArchitectureBoston Expo (ABX) 2013 will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from November 20 – 22.
With over 150 workshops and tours covering current issues and projects, the ABX Conference program appeals to the full spectrum of building-industry professionals. Attendees include architects, engineers, builders/contractors, landscape architects, interior designers and owners/clients, among others.
ABX 2012 tracks included: Access and Aging; Adaptive use; BIM, IPD and Lean; Building Enclosures and Systems; Business; Code; Design; Energy; High Performance Residential; Landscape Architecture; Performance Measured; Project Types; Residential Homebuilding; Socially Sustainable Design; Software and Technology; and Urban.
The 2013 program will feature many of these same tracks alongside a new crop highlighting relevant industry topics. There will be an increased focus on energy efficiency, net-zero and other “green” issues that provide for a more sustainable future.
All workshops will be eligible for AIA continuing education credits. Select workshops in the 2012 program were eligible for LA CES and CSL credits. Show management will be looking to provide similar educational opportunities for the industry-at-large in 2013.
The call for proposals is now live. Proposals for workshops and/or tours can be submitted online at abexpo.com by midnight on March 31. Both introductory and advanced topics are encouraged.
